Giorgio Manzin

Following a decade in retail buying with Sainsbury’s and Superdrug, Giorgio developed a passion for training while Sales Director Energizer UK – developing sales training workshops for his team. Eventually he decided to utilize his commercial experience acquired on both sides of the fence in a full-time training role.

Joining FXL, one of the biggest training operators in the FMCG industry, he trained the account managers of some of the biggest companies in the industry and also used his buying background to develop and deliver a highly successful category management programme for retail buyers. He then joined srcg as Training Director, developing and delivering category management programmes to managers for some of the biggest retailers and suppliers in the grocery trade. 

He then spent ten years working for The Gap Partnership – sharpening his knowledge of the art and science of negotiation, but also his capability to develop, organise and deliver highly effective training workshops. He trained approximately 5000 managers, from some of the best organisations in the world. He worked in many geographical markets, and especially in Italy, his country of origin.

Over the years, he found that many of the managers he worked with had great technical skills, but what they lacked was a multi-dimensional and more commercial view of business. He also realized that this was holding them back from fulfilling their career potential.

This insight, building on his experience and that of Julie Turner, led to 2Pi, to create “360° commercial managers”.

Julie Turner

As well as being an accredited executive coach, Julie has been a senior business leader with over 25 years experience in top tier FMCG companies. She has a wealth of commercial experience both in food and non-food, brand and own label, with over 5 years spent in a variety of customer facing roles with Unilever and over 7 years in strategic and operational roles with Mondelez UK. Her sales experience includes the top 4 Grocers, Wholesale and the Independent sector. She has led and managed teams from 8 and up to 70, including Field Sales teams for Cadbury UK. Prior to Unilever, Julie headed up the Category Management function at Energizer UK.

As a coach and facilitator, Julie’s approach is straightforward and practical, challenging and informal.  She is highly skilled at connecting with people, developing trust-based relationships and helping individuals overcome obstacles to unlock their potential. She has trained and coached from graduate entry level through to senior managers and CEO level, in FMCG as well as a variety of other industries, including technology, mass media and law. She is also a certified DiSC behavioural profiling trainer and an Emotional Intelligence qualified coach.
